Why country China can not sell on ebid?

I have bought things from China on feebay in the past - unbranded costume things like wigs and such mainly - and always been delighted with the prices and the items, if I didnt mind waiting for the international postage time. (which is something thats fine when I am organised enough to order something in plenty of time). Fake items can come from many countries, and I think its very sad that sellers from China are penalised. If someone is selling fake items, it should be dealt with on a seller by seller basis. I know nothing about the coins issue some people have mentioned, but I cant help feeling very sorry for the sincere sellers.

As stated, it's up to eBid management to make decisions regarding which countries can/can't sell on eBid. I expect this has something to do with trade standards/regulations which are different in different countries/areas and eBid has to make sure all rules/reg's are followed.

If I were the OP, I'd contact support: support@ebid.net to ask about this. Only support can say for sure whether or not China, or any other country, will be able to sell on eBid and only support can give the whys behind the decision.

So you don't think we should be able to buy items from China on eBid because they are cheaper than other countries.

I purposely go out of my way to avoid buying cheap stuff from China. I won't buy cheap Chinese goods when they are sold here either. I shop this way because I want to support British manufacturers

I have just had a quick look in my T.Shirt, Sweater wardrobe.

BHS - China
Maine - China
M&S - Cambodia
Debenhams - Mauritius

Gave up after that.

No I don't buy clothes from any of those companies.

I use a site called Buy British to help me choose where to buy new clothes.

I also buy pre-loved clothes from sellers on eBid and from Charity shops so I am not sending money overseas.

The only thing I am having trouble finding is British made undies

Yes they do it was called Oztion, now its called Quicksales.
Ebay is very strong in Australia, but not in New Zealand.

Actually, that site also limits sellers to being located in Australia or New Zealand. Of course, everyone can buy there, but frankly, there were quite a few sellers there that didn't want to ship outside those two countries either.

I don't think I've been back to the site since it changed its name so they might have changed policy.

I think Darklisruthven is right. Fakes can crop up from any country and it's unfair to tar all sellers with the same brush. I'm all for supporting British manufacturing but I also like to be able to have the choice to buy things that are not available in this country.
