My Postcard Shop
BK Stamps for Philatelic listings
& Yarnalong for craft patterns
and
Lotzabitz -anything that doesn't belong in one of the other shops.
Congratulations Madelaine, it is good to see this new feature being positively received. Buyers are apparently willing to approach sellers even when not offered.

have to agree , it has been like that on here for ages , listings and auctions are looked on as being the same thing by some ...in fact some have said they will not bother with an auction....if it has no guy it now , they will leave it.....oh well ......it seems to keep them happy............papa.
Just out of curiosity, how did "MaO" end up being the "Make Offer" symbol? Does it have some British significance? I've always wondered about the "Buy Now This Item," but I'm really curious about this one. I think I'd have gone more for a "Make Me An Offer I Can't Refuse" button. ;-)
MaO makes total sense and is quite a cool acronym.
I'm not really confused about it. I just think a button marked "Make Offer" or "Make an Offer" would be a bit better than using the options initials. But I suppose it would save space by using "B" for bid, "BIN" for buy it now and "MaO" for make an offer.
I haven't run across a listing with the "MaO" option yet, I would still think that a button marked "Make Offer" would be better there. Of course, if it was up to me the buy now button would just say "Buy Now" or "Buy" instead of "BuyNow this item." However, if it is just in the search results the "MaO" makes sense. I would expect a different color to also be useful. Perhaps an orange or amber would set it apart from the green & red used for the other things.
Ah... you haven't actually seen one. This might explain why you're not making any sense (sorry!) - inside the listing the button *does* say Make an Offer and it is a different colour. It would probably have been helpful to find one first before discussing ithttp://uk.ebid.net/for-sale/avon-eye...e-64194667.htm I do agree that Buy Now needs the space, that particular piece of weird grammar has always irritated me.
