I dont see anywhere in Shezz's post where she advises anyone else to view or buy RUS items - she is merely stating her preference and her opinion.
I dont purchase RUS items either without contacting a seller first - unless I see the seller is regular visitor to the forums, or has posted/received recent feedback - again, just my opinion - am not advising others to do the same

Why do that because of one person's buying experience?

I will always send a message to a seller once I have hit the buy it now button if I don't know them already...that is any new seller, not just those who have RUS listings.

I just leave a message saying 'just checking that you aren't off on your jollys' or something like that and none of the sellers have complained so far.

i'm not a novice on the forums hence I would recognise a name or two when looking for something to buy and if any of them has an item I want, then i would'nt hesitate from buying from them what ever the auction is set at (which i would more then likely not even know as I would'nt bother looking), why, because I know they are active members

It's a completly different matter tho if I dont know the seller, and the seller has items set at set RUS. you may think that this is a harsh decision but once I've had one bad experiance of no response then I just wont bother.

Now also what I'm trying to put across, IF a new buyer comes in and gets the same response as what I'm getting then they will walk away from this site, they will talk to others about the eperience they have had here. it's the same as RL if you go into a shop and dont like the way you was treated would you bother going back

And I am putting my word across as a buyer and how I feel about this experiance and as I still have not heard a word, then I probably wont look at a RUS item from sellers

If I see something I want I hit the Bid or BuyNow button,
but I request an invoice before I pay,
unless it's somebody I've dealt with before & who I know is a good seller.

If they don't send an invoice, I'll try a request via their email address, if they still don't respond in any way after about a week, I report them to support as a non performing seller.

The problem isnt RUS its sellers who arnt organised to handle the ammount of listings and sites they sell on.

I thought there was a rule in place if a question isnt replied to within 24 hours or has this been dropped, i know some didnt like this but i think if you cant reply in 24 hours RUS shouldant be available.

That's never been an automatic thing, just a grounds for complaint. There wouldn't be much point in the automatic nudges if the listing were also ended automatically.

I'm not sure if or how it would or could be done, but wished there was something in place where a seller would have to log into the account every xxx months or weeks, if they dont then it could trigger some sort of alert and auctions would automatically be ended, (not deleted) and an email sent to seller telling them auctions have been ended, that way we would lose a lot of the dead auctions and if they are a geniune seller who is unable to get on it would also help them out with out them worrying if they had sold something.

Whenever I buy online I look here and IF I'm lucky enough to find what I want here I will only continue to buy it if I recognise the sellers name or see from recent feedback they are active.

The reasons are I want an easy transaction and I want the item as soon as possible. I can't be bothered sending messages to see if the seller is alive before buying and certainly am not willing to hang about 24 hours, let alone a week, waiting for a possible reply.

When making a purchase I just want to buy and pay straight away
