I dont even consider purchasing here without contacting the seller first (unless it is someone I see regularly in the forums). Especially run till sold items.

I don't mind "buying" without contact, since sometimes I don't spot an item till it's in the closing soon list. I just take care about paying.

I made a sale to the UK yesterday - Yeah! (new buyer member)

    1. A question on the item was asked & answered.
    2. Item was paid for within the hour.
    3. Invoice marked paid, sent. (client didn't wait for invoice - no prob)
    4. Marked as shipped & posted same day.
    5. Refunded excess postage next morning & notified client of same.
If I can do this all on the same day - then anybody can.
There is NO excuse for slack service & any more than 2 working days is slack IMHO
It is up to us - the sellers - to give top notch service, to make & keep clients.
As the OP said, they want their item/s ASAP & it's up to us to see that that happens, otherwise they can just walk into a B&M store.

As a seller, if your going to have auctions running, then at least answer your customers questions timely. I sell on both Ebay and Ebid, I sold 1 item here in 6 months while selling over 90 on Ebay in the same time frame. The traffic is down, here and so I personally do not check this site every day, I do watch my Email if I get a question, I answer it promptly. No response for a month is just unacceptable, that seller must not be serious.

I am a buyer and yes I do like a good service, and when I get it I do show my appreciation when leaving feedback

Now these Items I sent a question on which I mention in my OP, I went into my email this morning to see 2 emails from ebid stating that the auctions I am watching have been reposted because they are on automatic repost........this is my problem, the items are now back on for other potential buyers to view and bid on, but still no sign of the seller
Life is serious but taking it too seriously robs you of
    happiness, fun and productivity

I have got to be honest, I don't understand why a seller would not bother to answer a question from a potential buyer within 24 hours?
When a question is asked on ebid an email "heads up" drops into my email inbox.
If a seller is serious, then they must check their inbox every day, surely.
So if you ask a question and you don't get a reply within 24hrs, you have to ask all sorts of qusetions about a sellers commitment. If they are slack at answering a simple question what will they do when you give them your money?

As a seller, I answer any questions either immediately or within a day, and always post within 24 hours of receiving payment.

I want to show eBid in a good light as having top notch sellers and buyers.

It works both ways, as a buyer, I like to buy and pay immediately but I always check on when the seller last logged on, unless I know and trust the seller of course.

After all you wouldn't go into any supermarket, for instance, and say 'I'll just take that TV or packet of frozen peas and pay when I feel like it'. Name: happy0129.gif

I would as a buyer like to have a rant and hopefully instead on jumping on me understand where I am coming from

A little while ago i put a thread up asking how long should a buyer wait for a question to be answered,

As a buyer if i see something I want, I want it now. I do not want to have to go through the rigmarole of having to send a question then wait for an answer to bid on something, I sent a ? as what I was after was a run untill sold item, luckily the seller answered me the next day, so he got my custom.

I see something else that I have an interest in a couple of days ago, once again it was run untill sold, (auction start time apil 2011) so sent an message on the 14th of this month to the seller (business seller) and as yet have had no reply. I have sent a nudge today and another ? on the identical item they have for sale in another auction

Now this is really putting me off having to always do this and if I dont get an answer over the weekend I will more then likely go elsewhere to get it.

The thing is, If these items were not run untill sold and the seller had to physically come in and post the auction again, I would of just bidded on the auction without hesitation knowing that the seller is obviously still around.

I doubt I will ever bother now if I see run untill sold on it
I have 5500 items RUS with you broadcasting not to buy or view these items should I delete them?
