I do hope you aren't referring to HerMajesty's complimentary remark about my new baby as a joke? I could be cut to the quick

I have one as well pipeau, they are a wonderful little machine and very sort after, I got mine for doing dolls clothes on as the small foot is perfect, Has she got a free arm. Very well done to get one cheap, have you looked at the prices on the bay?

Of course not Lance Corporal pipeau, I was referring to the birthday greeting to our colleague PetBazaar. HM said 'Have a Great Dane - oops Day'.

HerMajesty should go the the comedy club where she would make her fortune.

    It is now three jokes.

You are forgiven .... Dare we gently suggest that her Majesty was trying a bit toooo hard with the third one? - maybe better not there might be space in the tower.... hmmmm - I've never known a stand up comedienne....

Ohh - there you are buttons - we are both sensible people! We will have to form an association of eBid Featherweight owners ... I don't have a free arm one - I think the free arm ones were from 1955 for a few years - mere slips of young things! I can see that the free arm would be useful for dolls clothes etc though! I am amazed how quietly the machine runs! I can see that I've bonded with this baby already!

The latest addition to the family is a Singer Featherweight sewing machine. (My modern machine is a heavy girl and far too weighty to take around with me.) I've always wanted one of these and found this one very cheap! It looks like the baby and I were made for each other - as I've just checked the serial number and - would you believe - it was born some time between March and September 1953 - just like me (well I can be more exact about me - I was born in June!) I wasn't born in Scotland either - but just ended up with a Scottish surname!

She looks like this - or will do when she's been tarted up a bit!

what a classic and the machine int bad either lol
no seriously shes a beauty i have been sewing since i was 11years old and started on a little black hand singer with the handle on the side. They are much better looking than the modern ones, although i have had several upgrades since then. I now own a brother computerised one and it's is a lot easier i must say.
my joints are giving me greif a the moment had to go back to bed for a snozzle but i did start listing late afternoon
    0 losted
35 listed so im now up to 731 listings in total
