You're assuming the choice is the buyers!? I've never seen that done, it's always been the seller's option where I recall seeing it as a choice. I wonder what other people had been assuming.
As for "jumping to conclusions" the whole point is about what impression is given and what readers' perceptions would be - so I'm afraid you don't get to tell me I'm wrong.
On one occasion early last year, someone sent me a question thru a listing.
The question was relating to another item, asking if I could do it in a different size.
The person then sent the same question thru about 10 other listings - none of them relevant to each listing.
I had three options.......
answer the same question 10 times - then end and re-list all 10 items, as I wasnt happy with it appearing in them all..
or
Answer it once, then leave the other 9 showing as ''unanswered''
or
Add the person to my bbl and and tick the box remove their current Q&A.
I chose the latter.
