Agreed - besides, there are times when I have a question about an item, and if I see it's already been answered, it saves me asking and the seller answering the same question twice.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Having the option to make answers public or private doesn't compromise your saving time.

Do you not think that this is not of interest to other possible customers?
Yes it is not of interest to other possible customers!! That's how you put it and you're right!! Seeing a question not answered just tells me the seller didn't check his/her email or they have problem with their computer etc. etc. What value does it add to my buying? If you mean lack of response discredits the seller, I don't agree at all. There are millions of possibilities. How do I know which one applies to the seller? Even the seller could have bad experience with you and didn't answer your question. That doesn't apply to my buying experience with that seller.

Long story short, an unanswered question tells me nothing worthy.

Maybe not, but I see an open viewable Q & A section as a sign of site honesty, and I'm sure there are other who may see it this way as well.

It tells me that the seller is paying less attention to his or her listings than I'd like to see in a seller. I'd be unlikely to buy from any seller I thought looked like an absentee seller, and that's one of the clues. Having said that, I'd like the automatic visibility to be made much more obvious - a note that "your question and answer will be visible on the listing" when you ask a question. Maybe they could add it to the explanation that pops up on the information gizmo you have to tick.

Not sure, but the best way to make sure the Q&A is deleted from the item is to close the auction manually then repost it. A bit of a pain but one can live with it.

Yeah, I had to get rid of it, my ears were getting hot. At first I thought it was just people talking about me, but...
