Wow !!! I have to say, this forum is fun and fast to respond !!! I am surprised, pleasantly so, at all the quick responses. If anyone, who has helped, is in the neighborhood, stop on by for a rather large Captain Morgan and RC !! Bring your ID... I card at the door. Thanks all !!!

The sad part is that ebay waited until there was around 1600 negative feedbacks to shut them down. ebid sounds like the place to buy and sell !!!

    WELCOME!!!

Things are much better here for sellers aand buyers. Tell everyone you know. They are all welcome.

This is a great site and we welcome honest buyers and sellers from Ebay. I have listed all my items here and all the people are great, no back stabbing and not much complaining, when you get as old as I am, you just complain sometimes

It's ironic..............but I'm currently having a bit of a problem paying for an auction I won because I want to pay with Paypal. Seller sent invoice requesting payment via money order. This was listed in auction as payment method. Seller also listed option for Paypal in their About Me Page, but buyer to pay fee. I communicated that I wanted to pay by Paypal & would pay the fee. I have emailed seller 2 times about this & seller has not answered. I'm frustrated at this point, just want to pay for my item without alot of aggravation.

Also invoice requesting money order payment stated they would not accept payment that did not include insurance fee in case it went missing. That statement made me uncomfortable. Was not in auction description. That's why I want to pay by Paypal.

Unless you are desperate for the item I would withdraw from the sale as the seller is trying to impose conditions that are not published in the listing.

Furthermore it is not right that you should be asked yo pay paypal fees - Those fees are borne by the seller and should be factored into the selling price.

From my point of view 'the alarm bells are ringing!' loud and clear!

I wouldn't worry about a note saying paypal fees had to be covered if it was a private rather than business sale, but everything else about that story is going clang, clang, clang! Definitely not one I'd be happy about completing.

I agree, I have never asked a buyer to pay my fees, and I'm an Individual seller. Want the item & think the seller wants me to back out of the sale.I was hearing alarm bells even before the sale ended because no one else was bidding.and I noticed seller's bin prices for similar items.

I was agreeable to pay the fees since the seller did specify their payment preference and offered the Paypal option. I must say those bells were clanging in my ears & I was not a happy camper........but I went into Paypal & completed the transaction. "Hope this one goes smoothly".My gut is prevailing over my head because I don't like being manipulated to end a transaction.

P.S. Does eBid allow seller to impose an insurance requirement on a buyer? I did not think so.

eBid does not allow a seller to impose anything after any auction has ended. The seller is responsible for the safe and timely shipment of your item. The seller should have calculated the cost of insurance in the selling price. In some cases, an insurance charge may be listed in the description and added to your winning bid or buy it now price. Watch out for that and contact the seller if the exact amount is not listed. Good Question !!..... I hope I delivered.
