Just been onto housing, the emergency repair has been logged this morning and an engineer is due this afternoon.

Not sure what type of boiler it is. When I left the boiler was reading 2bar, I know the boiler is empty as it starts making a banging noise when the dial drops to 0bar. Still waiting for electrician/plumber to come out and deal with it.

Have you got a copper hot water tank in a cupboard. If you don't have one its a combi boiler.

Still sounds like the pressure release valve to me.

evening Lizzy , it won't matter what kind it is....as he has managed to jump the queue again , he is bound to get a brand new all singing combi....the one that has the callander on it and the wee window to show the radiator or hot water and the laddder thingy....good for you Craig.....did the man come this afternoon.........papa.

Definitely not copper, no boiler in cupboard, Engineer came out and checked the boiler over, the tank was empty due to the outlet tap being stuck open due to the bad weather tank now reading 2bar.

It's not the boiler that copper. its the hot water tank that would be copper. sounds like a combi, no copper hot water tank.
Why would the outlet tap be stuck open. cant understand that. but never mind fixed now.
wonder what else it will be next.
