    Well they could scrap tuition fees altogether and then raise the entry standards to realistic levels.

    That would ensure only real talent got to university.

    But then . . .

    Loads of jobs lost in university education?

    My hubbie heard that it was thought that the government arranged those who inflamed/ caused? the violent acts to discredit the protest. Anyone else heard any such claim?

    No it was either Osama Bin Laden or the KGB stirring up trouble

    or maybe a load of lazy workshy yobs having a day out

    The damage caused by those hooligans one way or the other was deplorable, it is sad though that it only served to detract from what the majority of those there wanted to do! I too thought it was strange that the police couldn't just go in a arrest those that we could clearly see causing the damage, instead of watching it happen, or would that of enticed more frenzy? Should have tazered them, would of stopped others perhaps having a go!!
