aparently the difference between us and apes is very small, 2 chromosomes difference, 46 for man and 48 for apes. BUT aparently 2 of our chromosomes have been fused together and aparently that is something that could not occur in nature,,,so they think we have been engineered by a higher inteligence.

Simply put, the theory goes that millions of years ago a giant meteor slammed into the earth and put enough dirt into the atmosphere to block out the sun on the whole planet for years. Lack of sun light caused most plants to die and wrecked the food chain. The dinosaurs were at the top of the food chain and starved. Lack of sunlight also caused the whole planet to cool and started another ice age.
Another theory is that a super volcano exploded and had the same affect.
I don't think anyone knows how the mammoths were quick frozen. That happened more recently.
yeah i used the Mammoth thing to hint that we have many ice ages.

The last ice age was only 10000 years ago.
