    Default Any luck fixing the damn problem???

    I have been trying for some time now to upgrade my account so I an start selling but I keep getting the same damn 537 ERROR...What is going on? I do not want to use my PayPal account to pay but they are telling me that that may be the only way

    Finally our card processor Netbanx have admitted they have a problem with some cards in the US, Australia and Canada. The problem lies with Secure3D (Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCode). They have been working on a solution as we speak.

    We are glad they have finally admitted the problem but doubley disappointed it has taken us over a year to get this out of them.

    so what is the solution? both of my cards were denied verification..I really woulkd like to start selling

    Yes, I have had two VISA cards, one debit and one credit, both from American institutions denied with "(537) 3D Authentication Failed" message. I have put a lot of thought and effort into making the move from eBay to eBid and am finally ready to list and now it seems that I cannot. This is very very frustrating. How is it that other Americans are able to use this? What can we new people do?

    Hi Dave!

    Use your Paypal account for payment and you will be selling in a few minutes.

    Problem with cards originated with another company (not ebid), who has just admitted there is a problem on their end (after a year). Solution may take a while.

    You will find that when this tech stuff happens here, ebid is upfront and does all it can to fix problems quickly. Unlike feebay who often failed to alert us to problems, take any responsibility, or clean up the mess the problem caused (when we had invoice problems, by the next morning the correct invoices had all been sent out).

    If they have been withholding this information for over a year it is time to find a new bank. What else won't they admit?

    Netbanx isn't a bank, it's a payment processor,

    I think there are only a couple of other options in the UK,
    World Pay & SagePay (formerly Protx)
    Gothicina.

    Its a shocking situation, but I suppose in an area that has only a few providers of a particular service bad things happen.
