Religion is purely to keep people in their place. In the case of Christianity it is 'Take all the cr@p that is dished out to you during life without complaint and you get to go to heaven when you die'.

The only people to get anything out of religion is those who run it.

It's called selective quoting. In that the segment quoted was the only part I considered to be in error.

You stated that there was no evidence (i.e reference) to Lucifer (the devil) in the bible. I gave you a reference.

A reference in the bible is as much proof as you have for anything in it. Beyond that you are down to pure faith.

Sorry. There is no evidence in the Bible that Lucifer was trying to replace God/take over His job et al. Matter of fact there is only one reference to Lucifer in the OT. Only one.
And if you recall I was merely playing Devil's Advocate to canuck. Or don't you recall?
Another point I made is that I'm not a Christian... so 'playing' is a key word here.
