Having said that, I'd like the automatic visibility to be made much more obvious - a note that "your question and answer will be visible on the listing" when you ask a question. Maybe they could add it to the explanation that pops up on the information gizmo you have to tick.
To me, this is jumping to conclusion. Either way, the option to make the question public or private keeps this door open. Buyer would have the option to make the question public so the world know how terrible the seller is!

You're assuming the choice is the buyers!? I've never seen that done, it's always been the seller's option where I recall seeing it as a choice. I wonder what other people had been assuming.

As for "jumping to conclusions" the whole point is about what impression is given and what readers' perceptions would be - so I'm afraid you don't get to tell me I'm wrong.

There is NO CHOICE. The questions and answers are all public, period. I'm saying there SHOULD be a choice.

Hey, why are you so afraid someone tells you're wrong? I didn't say you're wrong. I said "to me..." Here's for record: bykimbo is NOT wrong. That's a relief, huh?

Yes, I was referring to the future option.

On one occasion early last year, someone sent me a question thru a listing.
The question was relating to another item, asking if I could do it in a different size.
The person then sent the same question thru about 10 other listings - none of them relevant to each listing.

    I had three options.......
answer the same question 10 times - then end and re-list all 10 items, as I wasnt happy with it appearing in them all..
    or
Answer it once, then leave the other 9 showing as ''unanswered''
    or
Add the person to my bbl and and tick the box remove their current Q&A.

    I chose the latter.

I think I'd have answered one, then done a quick BBL in and out to remove the spares. I suppose it would remove the "good" one too, would it? Has anybody tried?

I was at my puter as it was happening.

It was after about 10 that I quickly added them to my bbl - just to prevent any more - had visions of it happening dozens of times.

I believe they are still on my bbl - cant even remember their name now!

Given the size of your list, they could be lost forever.

If I do another alternative FAQ I must remember:
    Q "Why can't I sell anything here?"
A "You've got every single eBidder on your BBL, including some that have been dead for six years. There's nobody left who can buy from you."
