• General Comments: The university started off as the Liverpool Mechanics School of Art in 1823, before becoming a Polytechnic, and then finally in 1992 became the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). The most notable alumini to have studied at the former Polytechnic was John Lennon. Would be ideal for anyone (or a friend/relative of) who had their photo taken for this prospectus. Or for anyone who graduated from who wants a nice souvenir of what the university is getting up to these days.
