Antique Solid Silver Thick Heavy Gauge Rat Tail Sauce Ladle.

Fully Hallmarked for London, lion passant for sterling and date letter q for circa 1911.

Makers mark G&S Co Ltd for Goldsmith's and Silversmith's Ltd of Regent Street London.

Measures approximately 18 cm in length, handle is 2 cm and the bowl is 5.5 cm in diameter by 2.2 cm in depth and weigh's 77.5 grams.

Great sturdy sauce ladle made by the very famous Goldsmith's and Silversmith's of London. Comes with a rat tail design to the bowl and a coat of arms to the handle being an arm holding an ear of corn or wheat.

Great condition, comes with a few age related marks as all antiques of considerable age do. Useful with all table service sauces and would be perfect for that Sunday roast. Would make a fabulous gift or why not spoil yourself and impress guests with this sturdy yet beautiful sterling silver sauce ladle.
