Fully Hallmarked leopard head for London, lion passant for sterling silver, date letter (D) circa 1839 and the Victoria duty mark.

Makers mark W E for William Eaton.

14.5 cm in length and the bowl is 3 cm width at the widest point and weighs 32.2 grams.

A fabulous example of early Victorian sterling silver this spoon which would be used for ice cream or desserts and would also have been given as a christening present.
