Hi there, Toady Auctions known as Woodentoad consists of three fellow amphibians who sell items for other swamp fellows who dont have a PC. We never know what is going to turn up, and therefore we are experts in nothing except fly catching !! The whole thing is a fun thing for us with our aim to pass on things from people who no longer have a need for them - to people who do.
We are not a shop, we are true auction sellers - just like going to a auction room, the items are privately owned, nothing is bought to sell on our site and the seller takes the risk just like at a real auction. Everything we sell starts at a bid price of a quid or under, and there is no reserve price attached. Sometimes we will put a BUY IT NOW price on things if the seller wishes it, this just speeds up the process - especially for you, the buyer.
We dont make any profit from this - after any selling fees all the sale goes to the seller. We try our very best to describe everything accurately and any questions you may have are passed on to the seller - hopefully they can give you the answers you need.
We have been around on another auction site for a while - you know the one - the one that sounds like FeeBay - and thats just how it is getting, because we start low and sell low the seller was getting less than Feebay, thats wrong. We use the same ID on there, so if you want to check our track record its there for you to see.
Payments - easy, home/UK buyers we prefer UK Cheques and UK Postal Orders for items under a tenner - but you can also use PayPal. Overseas buyers PayPal only. BFPO are treated as home/UK buyers
We try very hard to make sure everything goes well, anything you win is shipped quickly and securely. We ship on the day we clear funds if before 1200hrs and auctions ending on Saturday and Sunday are shipped on the Monday. We always let you know when the item has been posted.
We read messages at about 1700hrs Monday to Friday - Days off with the spawn, sorry spouse, over the weekend.
