Seller's Description
Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1948 Anthony Asquith Drama THE WINSLOW BOY, written by Terence Rattigan and starring Robert Donat, Margaret Leighton, Cedric Hardwicke, Francis L. Sullivan, Basil Radford, Kathleen Harrison, Marie Lohr, Jack Watling, Walter Fitzgerald, Frank Lawton, Neil North, Nicholas Hannen, Hugh Dempster, Edward Lexy, Mona Washbourne, Kynaston Reeves, Ernest Thesiger, Stanley Holloway, Lewis Casson, Colin Gordon, Wilfrid Hyde-White and Aubrey Mallalieu.
Rattigan’s sparkling play comes to the screen almost intact and benefits from a strong cast who interpret the story of a naval cadet expelled for stealing a postal order. Donat is the barrister employed by the boy’s father to prove his son’s innocence, and his magnificent performance is at the heart of this classic portrayal of an ordinary man’s fight for justice. Based on a real-life case in 1912.
The artwork is the same as the British quad poster.
The Advertisement is in good to very good condition with a vertical centre fold and 2 staple holes along it.
