Original 17 inch x 10 3/4 inch stipple engraving of WILLIAM VILLIERS, VISCOUNT GRANDISON, .
Portrait of William Villiers, 2nd Viscount Grandison, three-quarters length, standing to front, with head turned slightly to left, looking towards the viewer, his right hand on his hip; wearing lace collar, sash, slashed coat, and cloak over his left shoulder; trees behind at left.

Engraved by Charles Picart (1780 - 1837). An early nineteenth century portrait etcher and engraver, Charles Picart lived and worked in London. As well as working on large, individual commissions, he was frequently employed to contribute plates to publications such as Dibdin's Decameron, Lodge's Portraits and Description of the Ancient Marbles in the British Museum.

Drawn by Harold Crease (born c. 1788). Miniature painter and draughtsman.

From the original painting by Anthony van Dyck (1599 - 1641). Sir Anthony van Dyck was a Flemish Baroque artist who became the leading court painter in England after success in the Southern Netherlands and Italy.
