Vintage Oil Painting on Canvas by the
Listed Swiss Artist Karla GOETZ
(1904 - 1981)
"Winter Scene in Old Russian Town with Onion Dome"
Marked again on the Reverse on the Frame
"Karla Goetz, Zurich 31"
(which is possibly a date 1931)
She has remarkably realistically rendered those bare trees in the cold Russian winter under a
harsh-looking wintry sky - and that is possibly snow on the roof-tops
Measures approx. 23 2/3" x 26" or 60 cm x 66 cm
Framed in a Wooden Frame measuring approx. 27 1/8" x 29 3/4" or 69 cm X 75.5 cm
I will take it out of the frame and ship it rolled up in a cardboard tube for a flat shipping fee of $32
Please note: If Buyer decides he wants it in the Frame - it Weighs over 3.3 kg before packaging - hence flat EMS Shipping cost of $95
Even then, I would bear no responsibility nor any guarantee for the Frame, neither before nor after transit, despite my proper and careful packaging.
The frame would come ASIS and should be regarded as a gift.
There are a few small places of paint loss top right, also a crack in the impasto oil in that quadrant
