Vintage Royal Bavaria Hand Painted Cream Floral Sugar Bowl & Lid, Art Deco

Detailed Condtion : Very good condition for age. Some of the gold is rubbed off along the tops of the handles and diamond shape handle on lid. PLEASE READ FULL CONDITION NOTES IN RED BELOW!!

PLEASE READ CONDITION NOTES IN RED BELOW!!

• Vintage Royal Bavaria sugar bowl with lid (an older piece, circa 1900)
• Cream color with hand painted floral and Art Deco design
• Gold trim around rim and on handles
• Dimensions: 2-7/8" tall without lid; about 4" tall with lid
• Rim diameter is about 3-7/8"
• The signature "Morton" is under the design on one side.
• Royal Bavaria crown mark on the bottom
• Condition: Some of the gold is rubbed off, mostly along the tops of the handles on the bowl and the lid. Gold is mostly intact on the rest of the handle surfaces. No exterior chips or cracks. There is a tiny chip inside the rim (see arrows in 4th & 6th photos above). Minor paint imperfections to the design as would be expected with a hand painted motif. Overall, very good condition for its age.
• Please note that the lid for this style does not perfectly fit the top of the bowl. It does seat fully but does not conform exactly to the rim. This is not a flaw...this pattern was designed that way. (see 3rd photo above)
