Vintage Progress / Tobin- English Rose Tablecloth & Napkins

This is an opened, unused tablecloth issued by Progress / Tobin sometime in the 1970's, as the package calls for Galaxy Embroidery Thread.  The reason the top of this kit was opened, was to add the napkins to the package.  Instead of just one package of 4 napkins, there are actually 8 napkins included.  I have listed as Progress / Tobin, as the packages are all Stamped Progress as are the instruction sheets.  The colored pictures are marked Tobin and I don't want to mislead anyone.

Again, the packages were opened to place the thread (DMC) in the package and two sets of napkins (8 total) in the one package.  The napkins do show some foxing (? ?) on a few of the napkins.  Hopefully the stains/spots will wash out after the embroidery is finished.

This tablecloth is 50 inches by 70 inches, considered oblong.  

The napkins are 16 inches by 16 inches.

The tablecloth and napkins are stamped on 100% Dacron polyester / 100% Visa Polyester fabric, with merrowed edges.

All of the items are cross-stitch.

This tablecloth is machine washable, as are the napkins.

Easy to follow instructions are included.  Floss is included.   I don't know if Mom purchased enough of each color of the DMC thread to complete all the stitching, but since it is DMC, you can probably get more or match the color.    

This is one of a number of embroidery kits....tablecloths, napkins, quilt blocks, lap quilts and quilt kits.  Please check back often to see what is new.  All of these kits are the older kits, 1980's, 1990's, early 2000.  Between my mom and myself we purchased more than we could ever get done.  Now what is left needs to find younger hands and eyes.
