Vintage Corn Husk Doll 4-3/4” tall Sitting on Bench Sewing

The stool is missing 1 leg.

A nice little Corn Husk Doll, sitting on a bench as she does her sewing. Her light brown hair peeks out from under her corn husk scarf.

The sitting doll is 4-3/4 inches tall X 3-3/8” wide X 1-3/4” deep (12 X 8.5 X 4.5 cm) including the stool. She weighs 15 grams.

The doll has a few dirty spots on her dress. The stool is missing on leg but a new one could be fashioned if you are handy with that sort of thing.

A corn husk doll is a Native American toy, a doll made out of the dried leaves or "husk" of a corn cob. Making corn husk dolls was adopted by early European settlers in the United States of America.

I have a total of 11 different Corn Husk Dolls for sale as seen in the picture. This sale is for the one doll from the set of 11 dolls.

I bought these Corn Husk Dolls at an auction. They were selling of the contents of a small museum, located in a campground, not too far from where I live. Most of the items from the auction were from the 1800’s to the 1950’s. Unfortunately I do not have any idea of the vintage of these particular Corn Husk Dolls nor of their history.

The dolls will be wrapped in tissue paper then bubble pack of foam sheeting and shipped in a small box.
