Seller's Description

A Victor recording from about the mid-1940's and one of the "Big Three" in label names.

Both sides feature the trumpet sounds of Erskine Hawkins and the fabulous sounds of his orchestra! This Alabama Jazz Hall Of Famer was dubbed "The 20th Century Gabriel", and most remembered for composing "Tuxedo Junction".

Side 20-2284-A features "Tippin' In", and side 20-2284-B presents Joe Liggins' "I've Got A Right To Cry". This recording shows a fair amount of moderate wear with a hairline crack from rim to center. A light sounding will be heard as the needle passes over, but no skips are caused. Otherwise, good sound.
