Seller's Description
RCA Victor record #20-2126.
Beneke became the official band leader of the Glenn Miller's Band in 1946. This mid-1940's recording is in fairly decent shape, other than some label damage. A lot of gloss remains under moderate scuffs and scratches for a mostly clear audio, though some background hiss should be expected. No skips, but a few tiny incidental edge chips and a 2-inch hairline crack is beginning to show which sounds faintly when the needle passes over it.
Side 2126-A presents, "Hoodle Addle", with vocal by Tex Beneke and The Mello Larks. Side 2126-B lists, "Anniversary Song", from the Columbia Picture "The Jolson Story", with vocal by Garry Stevens and The Mello Larks.
Both melodies are performed by Tex Beneke with the Miller Orchestra. FABULOUS 1940's Big Band rhythms!
