UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - Stamp as per scan (this is the actual stamp you will receive)
Please Note: I am not an expert. I have attempted to correctly identify stamps but with some of these earlier stamps that can be difficult. Please rely on the stamp picture as, ultimately, that is the stamp you will be purchasing.
Please Note: This stamp comes from an album where it was identified as Scott 218 from 1888. It is clearly not purple so this cannot be correct. The colour of the stamp (if your screen is accurate) is fairly easily seen as not being particularly close to either carmine or rose-carmine, however, I think that it is probably closer to rose-carmine in colour hence my classification of the stamp. I think it is probably Scott 166 as the paper seems to be 'hard' but I have nothing to compare it to so cannot be definitive. If you need any additional information please contact me.

Regular mail is used (i.e. not tracked) unless other prior arrangements are made (I am happy to post using whatever arrangements you prefer but note that costs of registered mail or similar will be much higher - cost will be the actual Australia Post rate).
International postage can be quite slow (Australia Post estimates up to 8 days but I have known delays of up to a couple of months)
