MULTIPLE ITEMS:

  • Single Shipping Fee For Multiple Items: When multiple stamp items are all paid for together in the same payment transaction, they are packed and shipped together with a single shipping fee. Since stamps are very light, this typically results in little to no increase in postage when additional stamps are purchased.

  • Shipping Fee: The rate I charge for shipping is whatever USPS has published in their Notice 123 for weight, service, and zone (how far it goes).

  • Handling Fee: I add a small handling fee to the shipping. This allows me to offer significantly lower prices to those purchasing more than one item. The amount of this fee varies depending upon size of items, shipping option you choose, and size of your order.

  • Shipping Rate Error: Due to limitations in eBid's shipping rate calculator, it sometimes computes to high of a rate for shipping when multiple stamp items are purchased. This is because it has 1/10 of an ounce as its minimum unit where stamps weigh much less than that.

  • Invoice: If you send me a message indicating which shipping option you want, before you pay, I will return an invoice with the correct shipping and handling fee for your order.

TRACKING & INSURANCE:

  • You (the buyer) choose whether you want to pay for tracking and insurance on your stamp order. I would recommend selecting this for larger dollar value purchases. Some items require it.

SHIPPING OPTIONS:

  • First-Class: If this option is chosen, your order will be shipped in an envelope with no tracking. The price of this varies depending upon the size of the largest item you purchase

  • Standard-Post: If this option is chosen, your order will ship as a First-Class parcel with tracking and up to $50 insurance as long as it is 13 oz or less. If it is over 13 oz, it will ship Priority Mail (less expensive than Retail-Ground).

  • Priority-Mail: If this option is chosen, your order will ship standard Priority-Mail. This includes up to $50 insurance. Typically, delivery with this option is 2 to 3 working days from time of shipment.

  • Additional Insurance: If you choose a shipping method which includes $50 insurance, higher insurance coverage is available for added cost. If you are interested in this, send me a message asking about it before you pay for your items.

The stamp itself is $0.08. That $0.08 does not include shipping and handling fees. To minimize expenses to those who purchase multiple items, all paid for together in a single payment transaction, I bundle several fees I have to pay per order with the postage and handling of the order. This includes the base fee PayPal charges on an item plus some to cover my expense for shipping materials. I currently charge $0.93 for shipping and handling of whatever number of postage stamps will fit inside a legal size envelope which is 1oz or less. Of this $0.58 goes to USPS for 1oz first-class postage. $0.09 goes to PayPal for their base, MicroPay rate plus $0.06 for their percentage fee on this $0.93 fee. This leaves me with $0.20 to cover cost of shipping materials plus expense of getting the order to USPS. It may seem a bit high for shipping a single stamp however it takes somewhere over 100 stamps to get total weight of the shipment over 1oz. I have many different stamps listed for sale. Subsequently, this results is substantial savings for those purchasing multiple stamp items as long as they are all paid for together in a single payment transaction. If sheets of stamps are purchased, fees are higher because of USPS postage on a large envelope is higher than on a letter size envelope. Due to limitations on eBid's system, it's best to select what items you wish to purchase, then wait for me to send an invoice in order to have a single shipping fee to pay for the entire multi item order when purchasing items of different physical sizes.
