Original circa 1840 4 7/8 inch x 3 3/4 inch engraving of UPPER REACH OF ULLSWATER
Print by W. Banksof Edinburgh.
Drawn by Theophilus Lindsey Aspland (1807-1890). Painter and etcher, a pupil of the aquatinter George Cooke. Worked in Manchester and Liverpool until 1848 when he moved to the Lake District, the landscapes of which became the focus of his work.
The engraving is in very good condition. Reverse side blank.
