Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1970 Luis Bunuel Drama TRISTANA, based on the novel by Benito Pérez Galdós and starring Catherine Deneuve, Franco Nero, Fernando Rey, Lola Gaos and Antonio Casas.
After the death of her mother, Tristana (Catherine Deneuve) goes to live with her guardian, Don Lope (Fernando Rey), an older man who eventually breaks through his facade of respectability and seduces her. She repays him a hundredfold, preying on his jealousy and taunting him with perverse whimsies.
Poster art by Rene Ferracci (1927 -1982). A French artistic director and poster designer. He is, with Clément Hurel, Boris Grinsson, Michel Landi and Jean Mascii, one of the most prolific creators of cinema posters in France in the second half of the 20th century.
The poster is in very good folded condition with a small censor stamp in the bottom right border.
