Seller's Description
Through the Overcast, written by Assen Jordanoff, renowned Bulgarian aviation engineer, is a profusely illustrated peek into the past when instrument flying was just starting to be implemented. It is a fascinating look at the problems of flying and the knowledge needed to navigate blind using only instruments. Assen built his first plane in 1912 at the age of 15! He also wrote many of the instruction and repair manuals for World War 2 aircraft, eg: P40, P38, B17, B29, & B25. This edition is a 1942 printing by Funk & Wagnells and is in great vintage condition.
