Original 11 3/4 inch x 8 1/8 inch Engraving titled ”SWEET MY CHILD, I LIVE FOR THEE”.
Engraving by Horace Harral (1817 - 1905). Harral was a prominent London wood engraver and etcher, who, with his brother, Alfred Harral, engraved numerous cuts for the “Illustrated London News” and “The Graphic”.
From the painting ‘The Painter’s Widow’ by Kate Bisschop-Swift (1834 - 1928). An English-born Dutch painter, known primarily for her domestic scenes and still-lifes.

The Graphic was a British weekly illustrated newspaper, first published on 4 December 1869 by William Luson Thomas's company Illustrated Newspapers Limited. It continued to be published weekly under this title until 23 April 1932 and then changed title to The National Graphic between 28 April and 14 July 1932; it then ceased publication, after 3,266 issues.
