Sepia real photographic postcard showing a view of Burrell's Traction Engine No 3967, the "Morning Star", built in 1923 and owned and operated by Jacob Studt's fairground business in the 1930s.
Publisher or photographer not stated, though probably photographed by the sender, No F791, c.1930s.
Postally unused, but with a message "Jb Studts Burrell "Morning Star" To Ted & Family With Best Wishes From Dick Strange Summer Str Stroud Glos Good riding at Olympia". Dick Strange was a well-known Punch & Judy man from Stroud. He was also the person who later gave Tony Hancock his infamous "cursed" puppet for use in the 1963 film The Punch & Judy Man.
Very good condition, with very slight corner bumps. The Cornovia Postcards watermarks do not appear on the original postcard and are used here to protect the images in case of future publication.
