6 Original German UFA 7 inch x 5 1/4 inch Stills, 5 original German UFA 6 1/8 inch x 4 1/2 inch Stills and 1 original German UFA 3 1/8 inch x 4 3/8 inch Still for EMIL JANNINS & ANNA STEN the 1932 Robert Siodmak German Crime Drama STORMS OF PASSION (STURME DER LEIDENSCHAFT) starring Emil Jannings, Anna Sten, Trude Hesterberg, Otto Wernicke, Anton Pointner and Franz Nicklisch.
Also known as “The Tempest”, “Stuerme der Leidenschaft” was the first of Robert Siodmak's two directorial efforts of 1932. Emil Jannings stars as a tough but basically gentle gangster who, while serving a prison term, is betrayed by his sweetheart Anna Sten. Released from prison, the disgruntled Jannings murders Sten's seducer, forcing him to hide out from the police. Meanwhile, Sten, who has sworn total fidelity to her fugitive lover, again betrays him at the first opportunity.
The stills, on doubleweight paper, are in very good condition. All but the smaller stills have the Universum-Film Aktiengesellschaft stamp on the reverse.
