Sometimes we come across figural jewelry that just doesn't make sense. Usually because it is crafted in a place where they've never seen what they've been asked to make. But a duck or rooster? Aren't those just about everywhere in the world? A mystery! Perhaps this is a sea monster.
This goldtone brooch measures 1 3/8" tall. 1960s I think.
