Seller's Description
Original British 10 inch x 8 inch Front-of-House Still (Lobby Card) of JAMES CAGNEY & GLADYS GEORGE in the 1939 Raoul Walsh Crime Drama THE ROARING TWENTIES, based on an origianl story by Mark Hellinger.
Cagney on roaring form as mobster Eddie Bartlett (modelled on real-life Larry Fay), who fights in WWI, tries life as a cabbie and gravitates to bootlegging. George is Cagney’s nightclub hostess partner (based on Texas Guinan). Rousingly directed in realistic fashion by Walsh, who has an eagle eye on the mood of the period.
The still is in very good condition with corner and edge pinholes.
