This full set of these two Rare and Scarce Magazines were released by Atlas/Seaboard Periodicals in Feb. and Aug.1974 and this series focused on Great Storytelling and above-average Artwork! Each issue is 68 Black and White pages! When's the last time you saw these rarities?! All pages are here and complete and the cover retains full color and gloss!
1 - Feb. 1974 - VF to VF/NM! Ernie Colon cover!
"Tigerman and the Flesh Peddlers!" by John Albano and Ernie Colon introduces Tigerman, as he takes down a white slavery ring after a young girl plunges to her death! Tigerman tracks down those who traffic in runaways and extracts bloody revenge!! "The Sting of Death!" is 8 pages by John Albano and Leo Summers is tale of a handful of survivors of a plane crash complete with betrayal, racism and heroism. Oh and did I mention cannibals?! "Kromag the Killer!" is 9 pages by Gabriel Levy and Jack Sparling, as Kromag the Killer protects his tribe of women from wooly mammoths, giant snakes, dinosaurs and saber-toothed tigers! "Films of Alistair MacLean" is a 7 page text article by Ric Meyers! "Lawrence of Arabia" by Jeff Rovin and Pencils by Frank Thorne is set in 1917 and shows “quiet archaeologist from Oxford” becomes a hero helping the Arabian people fend off Turkish invaders! "Doc Savage" looks at the film adaptations of the popular character with photo's of Actors Ron Ely, Eldon Quick and Mike Miller, as well as Movie stills from the George Pal "Doc Savage" movie starring Ron Ely and the other Actors! "Escape from Nine by 1" is 8 pages by the great Russ Heath, with Letters by Gaspar Saladino, as a POW sees the Nazi snitch get his comeuppance!
2 - Aug. 1975 - VG (corner creases front cover)! Neal Adams Cover!!
"Robbery!" is a 2 page text story by Bernard Michaelson! "The Temple of the Spider!" sees five warriors take on a gigantic Spider...and lose! by Archie Goodwin and Walter Simonson! " The Kromag Saga" contines from last issue by Gabriel Levy and Jack Sparling as we meet Nean (Kromag's mate); Bekmin (Kromag and Nean's young son) & Kromag's brother! "Tough Cop" is by John Albano and Russ Heath, as a second generation joins the Police Force, but different times call for different tactics! "The Towering Inferno!" is 6 pages by Carl Macek of Photo's of the Movie! "Town Tamer" is by Steve Mitchell and John Severin, as US Soldiers encounter Nazi's in France during WW2...and give their lives for worthless real estate! "A Job Well Done!" by Ric Meyers and Alex Toth see a city Police Force taking down a drug dealing gang! These are worth $33.00 in these exact conditions!!
