This early Marvel Comics Magazines Lot of The Savage Sword of Conan features some top comics’ talent and the stories are gripping and incredible! All pages are complete in every issue!!
5 – April 1975 – GD/VG. Boris Vallejo Painted Cover!
The inside front cover features an awesome Jeff Jones black and white illustration called Wolfling! “A Witch Shall Be Born!” is by Roy Thomas, John Buscema Inks by Tony DeZungia, Steve Gan, Rudy Mesina and Freddie Fernandez (as the Tribe) with gray tone colors by Pete Lijauco, as Conan The Barbarian meets Queen Taramis, as her twin sister has taken her place on the throne of Khauran! Salome, posing as Taramis, gives the city over to Constantius and his men, but Conan refuses her order! The army is slain, and Conan is taken prisoner and Constantius has Conan nailed to a cross in the desert! Conan is later rescued by Olgerd, leader of a band of outlaws…and Conan takes control of the army that Olgerd had gathered and prepares to attack Khauran!!
7 – Aug. 1975 – GD (spine wear) Boris Vallejo Painted Cover!
“The Citadel at the Center of Time!” is by Roy Thomas, John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala, as Conan and his raiders attack a caravan but find only a girl and a sabre-tooth cat for loot! “Know, O prince, that between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis..” is the first line of this classic, as Conan awakens inside a mysterious Citadel, captive of Shamash-Shum-Ukin who plans to use him as a sacrifice to the Well of Time! NOT a great idea!! “The Gods of the Hyborian Age, Part II: Crom and Mitra” is a text page by Robert Yaple and Pencils by Mike Vosburg! “The King Is Dead - Part IV of Chronicles of the Sword: An Informal History of Sword-and-Sorcery Fiction” is by Lin Carter with Pencils by Gray Morrow! “The Hyborian Age” is by Roy Thomas with Pencils by a young Walter Simonson!

A woman sees her Brother cruelly murdered in front of her and Mellani is captured by the Dark Tigers! While travelling to the Abode of the Damned, the Dark Tigers meet a lone horseman…who gives them a fake name until later, when Conan reveals his true identity to Belissar Khan and the two forge an alliance to take control of the Abode of the Damned! “El Borak and the Barbarians”! is a 3 pager by Fred Blosser and Michael Wm. Kaluta! “The Scribes of Hyboria”! is by Fred Blosser, Roy Thomas, John Severin and Roy Krenkel! “Conan and the Tower of Vinyl” is by Ed Summer and Pencils by Michael Wm. Kaluta and Tim Conrad!

“The Leopard Men of Darfar”! is by Michael Fleisher, Pablo Marcos and Rick Parker, as Conan retrieves a daughter who prefers her captivity! While 'discussing' this, they must deal with slavers, Amazons and more! “Conan meets centipede monster” is a great pin-up by Gary Kwapisz, as well as four more great pin-up’s by him!
