(1) 28 oz. Can of R470a, this is the new R410a EPA Approved replacement and is NOT a HFC. R470a is a HFO an environmentally friendly.
(1) Top-Mount, screw-on, Check & Charge it Gauge with On/Off Valve.
The top of the can hose connection is 1/4" male flare with internal valve core, (Self-Sealing) also required by the EPA on all new style, refrigerant containers.
(1) 36" Charging Hose made for R410a systems.
(1) CPS Products, AD87, R410a Low-Side 5/16" Charging Adapter.
(1) Service Technician Model SG42, Stainless Steel Pocket Knife.
(1) Pocket Thermometer, 1" dial and a scale of 0 to 220 F.

On January 1, 2022, the U.S. officially started its phase down of HFC refrigerants, such as R-410A and R-404A.
Beginning this year, 2023, the production of HFC refrigerants will be reduced by 10%, while a steeper cut comes in 2024, when production must be reduced to 60% of the baseline established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
On January 23rd 2023, our community began to remove all R410a & R404a listings from the site.

R470A is EPA SNAP approved and A1 ASHRAE certified as non-flammable and non-toxic.
The refrigerant does not require design modifications or component changes.
R470a can operate with existing polyol ester (POE) oils present in R410A systems.
R470a is an HFO blend, which is the environmentally friendly alternative to the commonly used HFC blend in other refrigerants.
Using R470a as a replacement is easy.
Just use the same tools, test instruments, and recovery machines as you use with a R410A system.
R470A can accommodate state and federal legislation as they phase out high-GWP refrigerants, such as R410A with a 2088 GWP.
R470A is formulated to be trouble-free and works with all R410A compressors, system components and POE oils.
R470a has similar properties to R410A, including discharge pressure, discharge temperature, energy efficiency, and cooling capacity.
R470a adds up to an ideal replacement for R410a.
Clearly label the system to show it contains R470A.
1) Ensure the right equipment is available (e.g., recovery unit and cylinders, container for recovered lubricant, vacuum pump, weighing scales, replacement drier, etc.)
2) Record baseline data to establish the normal operating conditions for the equipment
3) Check the manufacturer’s specifications for the unit to find the recommended R410A charge in order to determine the amount of R470A to add.
4) Replace the filter/drier if moisture is suspected in the system. This is not necessary on a sealed system.
5) Having evacuated the system, liquid charge the unit with R470A up to 90% of the original charge amount of R410A and then compare to baseline data.
6) Switch on the unit and compare the baseline data, monitor sight glasses, suction line pressure and temperature, and discharge temperature; add additional R470A up to the recommended R410A system charge amount as needed.
7) Where a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) is present, and for optimum performance, make adjustments to attain the sweet spot.
This is not necessary for residential systems.
8) Check system thoroughly for leaks; and repair as needed.
9) Clearly label the system to show it contains R470A. You will receive a label with the refrigerant.
Switch on the unit and compare the baseline data, monitor sight glasses, suction line pressure and temperature, and discharge temperature; add additional R470A up to the recommended R410A system charge amount as needed.
