Original Engraving titled PRIZE DOGS AT THE CRYSTAL PALACE SHOW. Sheepdog; Setter; Fox-Terrier; Bulldog; Maltese; Bloodhound; Greyhound; King Charles’ Spaniel.
Illustration by Percy Thomas MacQuoid (1852 - 1925). A British theatrical designer and a collector and connoisseur of English furniture, and the author of articles, largely for Country Life. His early career was as an illustrator and theatrical designer, whose illustrations in The Graphic Vincent van Gogh praised to Anthon van Rappard in 1883 as "the non plus ultra of elegance and mild refined feeling".

The Graphic was a British weekly illustrated newspaper, first published on 4 December 1869 by William Luson Thomas's company Illustrated Newspapers Limited. It continued to be published weekly under this title until 23 April 1932 and then changed title to The National Graphic between 28 April and 14 July 1932; it then ceased publication, after 3,266 issues.
