Seller's Description

This is a postcard showing 95th Battery, Royal Field Artillery, unlimbering what is described as a "15 pounder" gun.   However, the barrel is far too long to be either the BL 15 pounder or the BLC 15 pounder.   I believe it is in fact a QF 4.7 inch naval gun on an army carriage.   The card was published by Gottschalk, Dreyfus & Davis, probably sometime before WW1.

The card is in fair condition with wear to the corners and edges, and some marks.   Unfortunately, there is significant loss at the bottom left corner, but it does not impact the image.
