Seller's Description
A 5½" x 3½" size colour postcard of Keighley-West Yorkshire Services Ltd., Leyland TD1, No. K451, registration number JUB 29.
This vehicle has a complicated heritage. It was originally Glasgow No. 72, registered as GE 2407 and new in 1928/9. It had a Leyland body and TD1 chassis. In 1944 it was acquired by Wallace Arnold who re-registered it as JUB 29. In 1950 Wallace Arnold rebodied it with a 1932 Eastern Counties L26/26R body from YG 2058 a West Yorkshire Titan TD2. Apparently the chassis of JUB 29 inherited parts of the West Yorkshire bus too. At the same time as the new body was fitted, JUB 29 was re-engined with a 8.6 Leyland diesel engine. It was bought for preservation in 1962
