Palm Beach Pants, Folkwear Patterns From Times Past 218. Folkwear, San Rafael, CA. 1982. Misses Size: 8 to 14 (B31-1/2 to 36, W24 to 28, H33-1/2 to 38). Pattern not cut. Cutting layout and instructions complete. Envelope repaired, pieces may be missing. No count on pattern pieces. Knickers, trousers and culottes. The knickers (c. 1931) feature a button-front fly closure and side pockets. They are pleated below the knee into shaped cuffs with button closures. The straight silhouette of the trousers (c. 1940) is created by a high waistband, darted back and side zippered closure. They fall gracefully straight from the fullest part of the hip to ankle-length. Pleats on the full culottes (c. 1960) at front and back conceal the separate legs and back zipper, and are held in place by a waistband. Length is classic low-knee.
