Original 1845 9 1/8 inch x 6 1/2 inch Etching and Engraving titled MRS MOUNTJOY MARTYN
Portrait of Mountjoy Martyn, three-quarter length, leaning on balustrade, one hand on her chin and looking to front, wearing bonnet.
Engraved by William Henry Mote (1803 - 1871). He was an English stipple and line engraver, primarily known for his portraits. He produced etchings for reference books, as well as original etchings. Mote became a member of the Royal Academy in his twenties and his portraits hang in the National Portrait Gallery, London.
