Original 1841 9 1/8 inch x 5 3/4 inch Etching and Engraving titled THE MOUNTAIN CHILD
A girl, whole length in field with mountains behind and a wodden gate on the right, facing the viewer, holding a bowl with milk with a baby goat on the right following her; illustration to 'The Keepsake' (1842).
Engraved by Charles Heath (1785 - 1848). An English engraver, currency and stamp printer, book publisher and illustrator.
From a picture by Paul Falconer Poole (1807 - 1879). Paul Falconer Poole RA was an English subject and genre painter born in Bristol.
