Mason's Ironstone Regency Colonial Plantation Ming Jar with Lid

A pre-owned Ming Jar produced by Mason's Ironstone for Carl Forslund, Grand Rapids Michigan.  This delicate ceramic Ming Jar features an ivory interior and exterior background glaze.  The exterior sides of the jar feature brightly painted flowers and blue trim around the upper rim   It is hexagonally shaped (six sides) and six footed with a lid.

This pattern is better known as Mason's Ironstone China Regency pattern.  In American and Canadian markets the pattern is known as Colonial Plantation.  This Ming Jar was produced for Carl Forsland in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  The pattern dates anywhere from the 1930's to the late 1950's and can be found in red or blue.  Carl Forsland was in business from 1969 - 1992.

This Ming Jar measures approximately 6.5 inches tall x 4 inches in diameter at the rim from corner to corner.  It weighs 14.2 ounces. 

The bottom of the jar is hallmarked 'Plantation Colonial, Made in England by Mason's for Carl Forslund, Grand Rapids, Michigan'.

The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, nicks, or repair.
