Marjorie Proops Daily Mirror Agony Aunt Hand Signed Old Photo

HG43   A stunning official large 8" x 5" vintage career signed photo for Maye Proops who has personally autographed the photo where her signature rests perfectly accompanying the photo in outstanding condition (any shimmer or loss of image from the scan is because the owner has treasured it in a plastic sleeve protection which can easily be removed).  The autographed photo shows her reading all the letters she is receiving for her Dear Marje column to reply to.

Rebecca Marjorie Proops OBE was a journalist and agony aunt in the United Kingdom, writing the column Dear Marje for the Daily Mirror newspaper. Proops was born in Woking, Surrey, as the elder daughter of Alfred and Martha Israel. Alfred Israel later had the family name changed to Rayle. She was a great deal more than an agony aunt, a brilliant writer, a campaigning journalist, and a social commentator.
