This is DIY (draw it yourself) paper piecing, using the instructions to draw the pattern for the corners with the long,skinny and sharp points.
Paper piecing experience is assumed.
Use our instructions for centers 16½”- 20½” x 20½” or easily re-size for your center; the Cool Corners remain the same regardless of the center size. Projects finish 12” larger than the center. 3 versions with 2 sizes of each version. Finished sizes: 28” - 32” x 32”.
The fabric requirements create borders and corners for all sizes and versions.
Center: Cut sizes: 16½” x 20½” OR 20½” x 20½”.
Light - 1 yd.
Dark – 5/8 yd.
New fabrics for the corners: 3/8 yd. each of dark and light.
Binding: 3/8 yd.
Backing: All sizes: 1-1/8 yd.
Batting: 36” x 36”
Supplies: 2 - 14½” squares parchment paper or your choice of foundation paper. 2 colors ultra fine point permanent markers. Add-A-Quarter ruler (18” suggested). Glue Stick. Sharp blade in rotary cutter. Template plastic or card stock 21” long cut into a rectangle for folding back foundation.
