Original 1951 Re-Release British 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Trade Advertisement from Today's Cinema for the 1934 John Ford Adventure THE LOST PATROL, from the story "Patrol" by Philip MacDonald and starring Victor McLaglen, Boris Karloff, Wallace Ford, Reginald Denny, J.M. Kerrigan, Billy Bevan, Alan Hale Sr., Brandon Hurst, Douglas Walton, Sammy Stein, Howard Wilson and Paul Hanson.
Ford’s classic tale of a British army group lost in the Mesopotamian desert facing constant attacks from bloodthirsty Arabs. The ads promised ‘boiling passions in the burning sands’ and the intensity of the performances, especially from McLaglen and religious fanatic Karloff, convey much of this heat.
