Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the the 1935 Henry Hathaway Adventure LIVES OF A BENGAL LANCER, based on the novel by Francis Yeats-Brown and starring Gary Cooper, Franchot Tone, Richard Cromwell, Guy Standing, C. Aubrey Smith, Monte Blue, Kathleen Burke, Douglass Dumbrille, Akim Tamiroff, J. Carrol Naish, Noble Johnson and Mischa Auer.
The Lives of a Bengal Lancer (1935) is a sweeping, escapist adventure tale of three British officers of the 41st Regiment of the Bengal Lancers, stationed in northwest India. The Lancers were historically prominent as defenders of India's North West frontier, notably the area of the Khyber Pass, inhabited by rebellious tribesmen.
The poster was printed by W.E. Berry Ltd., Nesfield Printing Works, Bradford .
The poster was in very good folded condition and has now been linen-backed.
